High School Graduation Requirements
Ascend STEM Academy is here to help! To ensure our high school diplomas remain competitive, we align our graduation requirements with Florida state standards. Ascend STEM Academy students must achieve a 2.5 GPA to graduate. Upon completing the high school diploma requirements described below, Ascend students must apply to graduate using our Graduation Application Form.
Graduation Application Process
The Graduation Application Form is used to list all of the graduating student’s completed high school courses and corresponding grades. For courses the student has taken that do not perfectly match our listed courses, Please selecting the listed course that you believe most closely aligns.
Graduation Package
Our graduation package is $125 and includes:
1. An official transcript
2. An Ascend STEM Academy graduation diploma
3. An Ascend STEM Academy “Graduate” T-Shirt
4. An Ascend STEM Academy Cap and Tassel
Ascend STEM Academy, transcripts and diplomas are no different than traditional private school transcript and diploma.

Florida High School Course Requirements - Standard 24 Credit Diploma
Mandatory Classes:

U.S. Government (0.5 credit)
World History (1 credit)

H.O.P.E. (1 credit)
Financial Literacy - Only for students entering high school in August 2023 or later. (0.5 Credit)

Students entering high school in August 2023 or later must earn 7.5 credits in electives. Students who entered high school before August 2023 must earn 8 credits in electives. Here are some sample electives:
